Creating music (creating in general) demands a certain amount of exploration and playfulness. Creating constraints is sometimes the way of becoming more creative and improve learning. Too many options can take the user away from the core of the art. The core theme with Svensson 49 was to encourage exploration by limited functionalities and a simple and intuitive loop system.

The industrial design was aimed to create a quality build with warmth and a certain amount of craftsmanship. Creating a connection to classical instruments more then a conventional keyboard. Wood and metal for the feeling. Weighted keys and calm interface to not steel the focus from what matters. Testing, learning and creating.
